I now own four of said Gap dress

Evidently, the powers that be decided to punish me for boasting about my satin placket dress.  This morning I threw in a load of wash, and the strap of my grey one got caught on the agitator.  When I pulled it out... it was SHREDDED.  Here it is after drying:

I dropped a couple F bombs and resolved to go to the Gap first thing.  There's a location in Santa Monica that doesn't get a lot of foot traffic, so I had a chance.  I scurried in at 10:15am.  Lo and behold.

They totally had one more in my size.  As a bonus, it was marked down yet again from $54 to $27.99.  If they had two I would have bought both.  Is there something wrong with me?  I'm handwashing these dresses like they are silk heirlooms from now on.

Don't forget this cardigan, in brown, because I am just that colorful:

... and this top which has been on a few blogs I read... I didn't think I would like it but it's cute on.  I had to get a size Large because the Medium was too tight.  It gave me flat Elizabethan boobs!  The shoulders and side seams need to be taken in.  This should be a good sewing experiment.

And 4 pairs of underwear.  Still, I spent less than $200.  Guilt, be gone!

They were out my size in this skirt so I might have to order it.  I know, I'm a bad girl.  But is it because I buy impulsively or because I buy all my stuff at the Gap?  Not too sure.

By the way, I've been doing that Flylady thing you told me about, and it's working all sorts of miracles. It may just be a nice little phase I'm going through, but I have a feeling at least some of this stuff is going to stick. Although I've probably jinxed now that I said that. Anyway, THANK YOU!
